Before cutting my hair my witness barber had to check with Bethel...really? Not a cult?
by Witness 007 ini was balding and grey so i asked my witness barber friend to "just shave it all off" many brothers were doing the comb over which looked friggin stupid.
but oh no in the 1990's this was rebellious he had to call a brother we knew at bethel to see if it was ok. we got his ok to go ahead but at the time i could help thinking about the no beard rule and how controlled and cultish we were..

Witness fancy dress party huge fails!
by Witness 007 inso some special pioneers in our cong thought it would be awesome to spice up our boring country town lives with a witness fancy dress party!!
wow what could go wrong?
it was 1993 well one pioneer wanted to out do every one so he turned up in drag as a ballerina in full bad make up...some had costumes with guns swords knives...i mean a cowboy does not have a watchtower in his holster!

Well it all went to hell even though one Elder came dressed as a king. NO MORE FANCY DRESS EVER. One brother years later dressed as Elvis and sang some hits...no longer a Servant privileges revoked. What a horrid control freak life.

My old Congregation is now a book study group of old people!

in the late 1990's we were thriving!
today the young ones have all left "the truth.

So I was in a Yugoslav ethnic congregation of about 200 people in Australia we had alot of refugee Witnesses come in from the Balkans war. In the late 1990's we were thriving! Today the young ones have all left "the truth." Many older ones have died or are too frail to attend. Looks like it wont last more then a few years before they close completely. I know of one family who hoped armagedon would cure all there illnesses but they now have depression...I guess for us every new year is a slap in the mouth. Happy 2020!
